How is alcohol-free beer made?

Alcohol-free beer is becoming more and more popular around the world – and not just in Dry January.

Wiper and True, a craft brewery based in Bristol, recently let me in to see how they go about making their low-alcohol beers.

Unusually for a brewery their size, they have opted to invest in expensive technology to take the alcohol out of their beer, in a process called reverse osmosis.

I made a piece explaining the process for the BBC’s flagship technology programme Tech Now.
